The Amateur Radio Association at UD owns and operates a repeater at the university. Located on the fourth floor of DuPont Hall, the repeater has a general coverage of campus and beyond.

Repeater Use
The W3UD repeater is opened to all licensed amateurs. It operates on 145.31 MHZ (-600) with a PL of 141.3 HZ.
Equipment
The Repeater is a Majororie R1, using a CAT300 controller, running 25 watts into a Waco Duplexer. It transmits through a Hustler G-6 vertical antenna at roughly 100 feet off the ground. If power mains should be lost, the repeater will automatically switch over to 160 amp hour sealed lead acid batteries, which are charged by, twelve 18 watt solar panels.
AutoPatch
Autopatch is available with 911 emergency access. Type *1 to activate autopatch and #1 to deactivate autopatch.
EchoLink
Repeater is now accessible VIA Internet, by using Echolink software, available at www.echolink.org. The W3UD Repeater node is 71786. To use press *2 [node number] to connect and # to disconnect.
